Mr Lee Carlson - Mr Lee Carlson - Visual Adjudicator
Mr Carlson has served as Visual Caption Head for Drum Corps International for three year and Judges Liaison for two years. Currently he is Judge Recruiter for DCI. Lee has been judging for DCI for 14 years, and has judged finals 8 times. He has judged for Bands Of America for 7 years including Grand Nationals Finals for the last two years and has been a clinician for the Music for All Summer Symposium for 6 years.

Ms Shirley Dorritie - Ms Shirley Dorritie - Visual Adjudicator

Shirley Dorritie has been involved in the pageantry activity for over 45 years and specializes in training performers throughout the world for optimal achievement. She has served as an international adjudicator for the Marching Band, Winter Guard and Drum Corps activities since 1983, and is currently Judge Development Manager for Winter Guard International and Director of Judge Education for the Winter Guard Association of Southern California. 


Dr Nola Jones - Dr Nola Jones - Chief Adjudicator

Dr. Nola Jones is the Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools in Nashville, Tennessee. Her duties include instructional supervision of four hundred professional arts education specialists, curriculum planning, and implementation of Music Makes Us. Music Makes Us is a public/private partnership among Metro Nashville Public Schools, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, and music industry and community leaders in Nashville.


Dr Jay Kennedy - Dr Jay Kennedy - Music Performance Adjudicator

Jay Kennedy’s career encompasses varied and successful experiences as a composer, arranger, producer, performer, educator, and administrative leader. He is currently Vice President for Academic Affairs/Vice Provost at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr Kennedy received the PhD from Boston College, and the Master of Music and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from Northwestern University.


Mr Nolan Jager Loyde - Mr Nolan Jager Loyde - TMC Chair

Nolan Jager Loyde is the Head Band Director at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Texas. Mr. Loyde received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University.


Dr Chester Phillips - Dr Chester Phillips - Music Performance Adjudicator

A native of Newnan, GA, Chester B. Phillips is in his ninth year as associate director of bands and director of athletic bands at Georgia State University. His primary responsibilities include conducting the Wind Orchestra, establishing and directing the University Marching Band, teaching conducting and overseeing all facets of the Athletic Bands.


Mr Tim Pierce - Mr Tim Pierce - Visual Adjudicator

Tim Pierce has a broad range of experience in design for the visual and performing arts. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Mississippi College. He is a former marching member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. His professional career began as a band director in Mississippi and has continued as teacher, consultant and/or adjudicator in twenty-two states.


Mr Caleb Rothe - Mr Caleb Rothe - Percussion Adjudicator

Caleb Rothe is the Percussion Education Coordinator for WGI Sport of the Arts. He has previously served as a program director, arranger, and instructor for Ayala HS (1997-2009), Pulse Percussion (2004-2007), and Rancho Cucamonga HS (2000-2004). Mr Rothe also served as a front ensemble arranger and instructor for Upland HS (2004-2006), Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps (2010), and Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps (2004-2006). He has been a percussion educator in Southern California since 1997 and has worked with more than twenty different high schools, independent percussion ensembles, and drum and bugle corps.


Ms Lisa Weinheimer Roebuck - Ms Lisa Weinheimer Roebuck - TMC Sponsor

Lisa Weinheimer Roebuck currently serves Round Rock ISD as the Director of Fine Arts. Lisa was previously the Assistant Director of Fine Arts for RRISD and has taught general music at the elementary level and choral music at the secondary level for 21 years. She taught in both public and private schools before entering the world of full time fine arts administration in 2006. She presents for other school districts and educational service centers in the areas of choir, elementary music, fine arts curriculum and program development.
